Mason jars are all the rage now. You can find them in tumbler form or find hundreds of ways to use them in decor or crafting. Last Christmas I decorated a mason jar for my big sister and filled it with little notes.
My big is obsessed with things that sparkle…rhinestones, glitter…if it shines, it’s for Savannah. So for the top of the mason jar I used Aleene’s Turbo Tacky glue to cover the top of the jar with rhinestones.
For the sides I used puffy paint to draw a vine-like design that covered the entire jar. Hidden in the vines are letters that spell out BIG.
This project allows a lot of room for creativity. You could tie a ribbon around the jar, attach flowers, etc. The design on the jar can also reflect what you choose to put inside. For Valentine’s Day or just because, you could fill the jar with reasons why you love the person (for other Valentine’s Day presents check out my post DIY Valentine’s Day Gifts).
